    RETURN/REFUND POLICY FOR EMBELLISHED APPAREL - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
    If your order isn’t liked or doesn’t fit, you may return for a refund.
    But unless I sent the wrong item, you are responsible for all return shipping costs.
    So, please familiarize yourself with the return policy for embellished garments below, and ask questions BEFORE you purchase.
    Your embellished garment was carefully packed to prevent damage enroute to you. Your return requires the same careful packing. If the garment is not returned to me in a condition ready to sell, this will adversely affect your refund.
    1. Returns must be made in original packaging or a similarly sized, hard-sided box. DO NOT SHIP IN A SOFT-SIDED ENVELOPE! Processing machinery may dislodge or destroy the embellishments on your garment, thus adversely affecting your refund.
    2. When packing a "Susan" jacket to ship, DO NOT FOLD DIRECTLY ON EITHER PYRAMID! This could destroy the embellishments and make the garment unsellable, which will adversely affect your refund. Returns should be received looking as they did when delivered.
    3. Though you are not required to ship your return with insurance and tracking/delivery confirmation, failure to do so means if the return is lost or damaged in transit or not received in a condition ready to sell, you may not receive a refund.
    4. The Art by Victoria Skye tag must not have been removed.
    5. Garments must not have been worn except to try on.
    6. Garments must not have been cleaned or altered in any way.
    7 You must contact me within 7 DAYS OF receiving your order to initiate a refund (or by Dec 31 for purchases made in November or December), and return within 14 DAYS of contacting me.
    I do not offer partial refunds, pay for alterations, or do exchanges.

    ABOUT THE JACKET:
    This Desperately Seeking Susan inspired jacket features:
    a hand-painted gold mosaic motif on a painted black background on the collar, lapels, (and cuffs where applicable. Some cuffs are not suited for painting);
    a hand-stitched/hand-painted gold tissue lamé separated pyramid trimmed with red cord, stainless steel and/or brass spacers, and multi-colored glass beads;
    roughly hand-printed Roman numerals for 1776 "MDCCLXXVI" on the bottom pyramid and the painted Eye of Providence on the top;
    one red felt banner bordered in gold cord with gold stainless steel and/or brass spacers and hand-printed with "NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM" (New World Order).
    All embellishment - sewing, painting, gluing - is done by hand, by me, and it will contain slight imperfections. As with the original movie jacket, this piece of handmade wearable art does not look "perfect". The most common imperfection are bleed-through marks on a jacket's lining which are not visible when the jacket is worn. Please study images and write with any specific questions before ordering, and if your goal is machine-like perfection, please do not order from me!
    All garments were purchased as either new or gently used and have no obvious defects unless noted. All garments are cleaned before art is added. I work in a non-smoking studio, though there are cats and a really fluffy dog on-premises. Finished garments are stored in a dry-cleaning bag in a cedar closet awaiting purchase, and are steamed and/or brushed before they are packed to ship.

    RE IMAGES:
    Glitter doesn't photograph particularly well, often looking like lint or splotches.
    Depending on lighting and the calibration of color on your monitor, garments may appear to be a different color that what is stated. Green jackets may appear to be brown or grey. Black jackets can look grey or blue. If in doubt, please ask.
    There may be sewing room lint on garments in photographs. All jackets are steamed and brushed before shipping.
    I sometimes change out the front button to a better one (but very rarely the sleeve buttons) after images are taken.
    If you would like additional photos, or a "real time" photo, let me know.

    RE VINTAGE:
    With items deemed vintage, I provide the information I have from brand labels or other garment tags. I am not an expert on vintage items nor can I swear items are authentic.
    If garments are represented to me as vintage, and they appear from my research to be so, I offer them as vintage. Caveat emptor.
    While I note obvious flaws, when buying a vintage item one should expect signs of wear or use consistent with the item's age.

    WHAT'S MY SIZE? Finding the right fit on modern and vintage apparel.
    MODERN APPAREL: Most of us have had experience with a clothing brand that "runs small" or large on us, and know that a Size 12, for example, can be a 12 Petite or 12 Slim. When buying recycled clothing, unless it is new with tags (NWT), the exact size of the jacket may be questionable. The tag telling you it's a Slim may have been lost (or cut out) or the garment might have been washed improperly and suffered shrinkage. (Measurements are taken AFTER washing).
    The best way to insure a proper fit is to compare your personal measurements, or the measurements of a good fitting blazer you already own, to those listed.
    VINTAGE SIZES: Vintage sizes ARE different, and it's best to go by measurements and not by the size listed. A jacket manufactured in the 1970s as a Size 12 is NOT going to fit like a Size 12 available today at Macy's, and this is especially true if the vintage item was not made in the US. US and UK (and EU) sizing is all different, both for clothing and shoes. The difference between UK and US Women's clothing sizes is 2 whole sizes, with the UK size being the smaller of the two. Thus a US Women's Size 12 is a UK Women's Size 10. But even knowing that, we know that some clothing brands "run small" or large, so this must also be considered.
    The best way to insure a proper fit is to compare your personal measurements, or the measurements of a good fitting blazer you already own, to those listed.
